Hawthorne House Luxury Accommodation – Our Facilities
Hawthorne House is an elegant villa, built as a Doctor’s residence early in the 20th century, and now transformed into luxury B&B accommodation in the heart of Hawke’s Bay.
The front door is adorned with original leadlight windows, and opens into the main hall of the house. Following a traditional villa layout, the bedrooms are located on the East side of the hall, whilst to the West are spacious living areas, purely for guests’ enjoyment:
Guest Living Room - with its grand proportions, this is the heart of the house. It is the perfect spot to chat with friends, new or old, over a glass of wine. Or why not curl up with a good book on one of the comfortable sofas?
French doors from the dining room, and other reception rooms, spill out onto the guest verandah at the West of the house. Enjoy a lazy breakfast at one of the tables, or an afternoon glass of wine overlooking the lawn and gardens.
If you’re feeling active, there’s croquet on the lawn and a pétanque court.
