Hawke’s Bay Cycling
There are many excellent cycling routes and clubs around Hawke’s Bay, indeed one of New Zealand’s oldest cycling clubs is in the area (Ramblers Cycling Club). They organise a number of events including the annual Tour of the Bay and Taupo to Napier Road Race. We can provide secure bike storage facilities. If you’re entering why not treat yourself after the finish?
Hawke's Bay is fast becoming the cycling mecca of New Zealand with some great cycleways to take in the sights. Why not hire some bikes while you're here from the excellent Good Fun Bike Rides
just 5 minutes away in Havelock North? They have a series of planned trails for you to enjoy or will point you in the right direction if you just fancy exploring the Bay. They also have bikes located at Triangle Cellars just 5 minutes from Hawthorne. Enjoy a (flat!) ride around the wineries - the perfect way to explore some of the finest wineries in the world.
Self guided tours operated by Tākaro Trails
are a great way to explore the region. Why not treat yourself to a luxurious stay with us before, during or after your ride? Jenny at Tākaro
operates everything from some great day rides, taking in the best of the local area, to full 5 day trails, and various combinations in between.. Depending on booking & availability, Tākaro
will either drop bikes off to Hawthorne or collect & drop you here. Highly recommended
